Varese - Regional Undersecretary Cattaneo: "Molina is a point of reference for the Varese community" - - Varese News

On Saturday, Raffaele Cattaneo, Undersecretary for International and European Relations for the Lombardy Region, took part in the first of a series of events organized to mark the 150th anniversary of the Molina Foundation , an institution that has supported the most vulnerable through assistance and care since 1875. The celebrations began with the Foundation's Open Day , an opportunity to gain a first-hand understanding of the history, services, and future plans of the Varese organization.
After visiting the Foundation, Cattaneo stated that "the Molina Foundation represents a concrete response to a very current problem : providing care for the elderly in need of treatment. In an area like the municipality of Varese , where the population over 75 currently represents over 15% of the population (12,000 seniors out of approximately 79,000 residents), organizations like the Foundation play a fundamental role in providing support . Their presence not only guarantees assistance and care, but also serves as a point of reference capable of restoring dignity, relief, and companionship to so many people. A precious asset for the entire community, which we must continue to enhance and support."
Cattaneo then added: " As a Catholic, I also believe that the role of a facility like this is not only to respond to material needs, but also to concretely embody the evangelical value of charity and love for others , especially those most vulnerable. This is where the solidarity that is at the heart of our Christian tradition is realized. Visiting the Alzheimer's unit or the palliative care unit is a shining example of this."
